Rajendra Pawar completed his Bachelors in Optometry education at Aditya Jyot Institute of Optometry, Mumbai and Masters in Ophthalmic Technology from NIMMS University. He completed Special training in Ocularisty at Jahrling Ocular Prosthetics Inc. under world’s top most Ocularists Kurt Jahrling, Joyce Jahrling and Eric Jarhling, Boston, USA & Specialty Contact Lenses such as Boston Ocular Surface Prosthesis, Rose K lenses & Orthokeratology in Boston Foundation for Sight, India. He was also Founder and Head of the department of Ocular Prosthesis & Contact lens services at Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital Pvt Ltd till July 2012.He is well experienced Ocularist and Specialty Contact lens practioner, having more than 9+ years of experience in this field. He has done successfully more than 2500 patients of specialty contact lenses such as Rose K, Scleral, Hybrid, Piggyback contact lenses and 6000 custom artificial eye cases with utmost possible results in all kind of socket referred from India and all over world. He has presented so many papers in various national and international conferences and also actively participating in all national and international conferences to gain knowledge and give better results to his patients. His clinical interests include Specialty Contact Lenses such as Rose K Lenses & Scleral Lenses in further advance contact lens fitting like Keratoconus, Irregular cornea, Dry Eyes & Steven Johnson Syndrome, His research interest lie in new types of Ocular & Maxillofacial prosthesis. He has been recognized by the Scleral Lens Education Society Society (USA) and founding member of Ocularist Society of India. His other field interest also includes Low Visual Aids.
